Best detox drinks to lose weight

Human body is constantly detoxing every day, but there are ways that we can help in the detoxification process through proper nutrition and self-care, rather than having expensive drinks that have no specific proof of effectiveness.

So here’s my question:

Would you rather spend money to ‘detox’ with the aid of a drink or supplement design for the sole purpose of generating income for the inventor, or would you rather invest your money and energy into seeking out the most nutritious, whole and natural foods, which have been specifically designed by nature to aid the human body in the natural physiological detoxification pathway?

I think we need to stop looking towards quick fixes and start to understand the true healthy Holistic Lifestyle, based on the foundation of mostly organic, natural, plant-based foods is what will help to optimize our health.

In this post, I will share some of my favorite drinks that will help to detoxify your body and help you lose weight.

5. Mint ginger infused water

Mint has been one of the important ingredients in Ayurveda and we have been using it for its medicinal benefits for a long time. Mint could also play its own sweet role in weight loss, and the reason is tied with its much famed digestive properties. Mint stimulates digestive enzymes, which help facilitate better absorption of nutrients from food. When the body is able to assimilate and absorb nutrients properly, there is better metabolism. A faster metabolism aids weight loss.

7. Lime chia seeds

Chia seeds are filling and high in fiber, they keep you fuller longer. They may therefore help prevent overeating. Lemon is also a diuretic and hence lemon water can treat rheumatism and arthritis. It helps to flush out bacteria and toxins out of the body.

Lemons contain an important compound called flavonoids which contribute to the anti-cancer properties of this fruit. Flavonoids can function as direct antioxidants and free radical scavengers, meaning they help to destroy and remove harmful, potentially carcinogenic substances in the body.

Chia seeds can also help with weight loss. This will, of course, depend on your overall activity levels, diet, and physical makeup, but fiber itself has been linked to weight loss in many cases. The fiber absorbs water in your stomach, which helps curb your appetite. Chia seeds contain a good amount of protein as well (about 4g per ounce). This protein serves a similar function with weight loss and has been shown in many studies to help with weight loss more than almost any other nutrient.

Chia seeds have more protein than almost any other plant source, so if you are vegetarian or vegan, this is a perfect protein supplement to add to your diet. The protein helps curb your appetite, to help you feel fuller longer and keep you from snacking between meals. The healthy omega 3 fatty acids in these tiny seeds, helps raise the good cholesterol that protects against heart attacks and strokes.

To make chia water simply soak 1 tbsp of chia seeds in 2 cups of water for 10-20 minutes. The longer you leave it, the more water the chia seeds will absorb and the more gel-like they will become.
